Frequently asked questions
How the cases and the interview work, what is saved and what the subscription changes.
Cases and interview
What is the real difference between the two interviews?
Without a subscription the patient answers by keyword recognition: it understands about forty history topics (pain, onset, fever, medications, smoking, family history and so on) and, if the question fits none of them, says it did not understand. With a subscription a language model answers, given nothing but the patient's clinical history: you can ask anything, in your own words, and it stays in character. It is the difference between consulting a list of answers and holding an interview.
SubscriptionAre the cases real? Have they been validated?
No. They are written for teaching purposes, do not describe real patients and have not been clinically validated. They serve to practise diagnostic reasoning, not to make care decisions. The same applies to the patient's answers generated by the language model, which may contain inaccuracies.
DisclaimerWhat happens to the questions I write to the patient?
They go through our server. For subscribers a language model generates the answer, and the conversation is kept with the exercise for 30 days, then deleted; for other users the server does not keep it. Do not write personal data of real patients in the interview.

Are my progress and scores saved?
Yes, if you sign in with Google: diagnoses, scores and valid days for the bonus appear on the Progress page, in the account menu, together with your latest finished cases. Without an account nothing is saved beyond the case in progress.
Sign in with GoogleHow does the premium bonus work?
A day is valid when at least one case you finish that day scores 80 points or more. With 7 valid days in the last 10, you unlock more diagnosis attempts, the images of every test and the teaching explanations for 24 hours. Then the count starts again. You need an account.
Can I cancel whenever I want?
Subscriptions cannot be activated yet, so the terms are not set yet. They will appear on the Subscription page, together with the price, before it becomes possible to subscribe.
SubscriptionPhone and connection
Does it work on a phone?
The interview, physical examination, laboratory and diagnosis sections do. The DICOM viewer for ultrasound, MRI and CT needs a larger screen: on a phone you can scroll through the images, but assessing them is awkward.
Do I need an internet connection?
Yes. The patient's answers, the reports and the test results come from the server when they are requested, and are not in the browser before then. This is deliberate: it is what prevents reading abnormal values or the diagnosis of the case in advance.
